Your Flu jab 2020

It’s been a tough year and with Flu season fast approaching it is more important than ever that we begin preparations to ensure our flu vaccinations are carried out as promptly and as safely as possible. An annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to help protect against flu. Vaccination has been shown to have many benefits including reducing the risk of flu illnesses, hospitalisations and even the risk of flu-related death in children.

• We will commence clinics at the end of September at both Branston and Stretton
• We ask patients attending clinic to arrive at their specified time, to please wear a face covering and ensure your clothing allows a clinician easy access to your injection site (left or right arm)
• We ask that only the individual requiring their vaccination attends practice for their appointment ( only carers with prior arrangement will be permitted access to accompany an appointment)
• All attending patients will be screened on entry to the practice.

We understand that some patients will feel reluctant to attend the practice,  We can reassure you that we taking all recommended precautions so that we can protect both patients and staff. Our team will  be

• operating a one system around the practice to prevent delays and allow for distancing
• our team will be wearing PPE
• all hygiene control measures will be in place for every visit
• Please note our reception desk will be closed to enquiries and bookings during these clinics

We ask where possible to please book your flu vaccination appointment online ensuring you book in the correct slot OVER 65 years of age or UNDER 65 years of age as applicable, alternatively please call the practice on 01283 845555 after 10.00am for flu bookings.

Childrens nasal sprays will be available and we will update you as soon as we have information of their delivery time, currently we will only be taking bookings for the flu jab.
